Biography
Grace began her career as a law clerk to a judge of the Connecticut Appellate Court and then spent six years as a litigator in New Haven before joining the firm in 2014. She leads the litigation group from the New Haven office.
Her practice covers contract disputes, business divorces between co-owners, restrictive covenant enforcement and contested trust and estate matters. She is known for early, candid case assessments and for preparing each matter as if it will be tried.
Grace is a certified mediator and frequently serves as a special master in Superior Court. She co-chairs the firm's pro bono program, which partners with a local legal aid organization on small business and housing matters.
Selected matters
- Obtained a temporary injunction enforcing non-solicitation covenants against departing sales executives of a distribution company.
- Resolved a shareholder deadlock in a family-owned construction firm through a mediated buyout, withdrawing a pending dissolution petition (sample matter).
- Defended a trustee in a contested accounting before the New Haven Regional Children's and Probate Court.
